Q. What are your school times?
A. For kindergarten through fifth grade, school starts at 8:25 a.m. and is finished at 2:45 p.m. Students can be dropped off for the start of the school day beginning at 7:55 a.m. We have before and after school programs at open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

Q. Is busing provided?
A. Yes, busing is part of our program within District 728. We share busing services with the Elk River schools. For more information on busing, please >click here.
Families outside of the District 728 may be eligible for busing, depending on their location. Please contact the school to find out more.
Q. What is the cost of tuition?
A. The annual cost of tuition for parishioners of St. Andrew Catholic Church is $2,950. For non-parishioners, the cost of $4,680.
We ask families to consider paying more per child if they feel like they can afford it in order to offset the increasing cost of education. The cost of tuition typically increases 5 percent per year.
Q. Do you have to be a member of the parish to attend the school?
A. No, you do not have to be from our parish to attend out school. Parish members are given first priority when filling our final school rosters.
Q. What does the cost of tuition cover?
A. Tuition covers most of the cost to teach your student. Activities fees, lunch costs and before and after school programs are extra. Families are also expected to take part in school fundraisers throughout the school year.
Q. Is tuition tax deductible?
A. No. The annual $50 registration fee and money donated to the School’s Endowment Fund  and any donations made to the school throughout the year are tax deductible.
Q. Is the school peanut free?
A. We strive to be an allergy aware school. We do not allow peanut products to be used in our kitchen nor are families allowed to bring peanut products to the school.   We also work with families of students who have other diagnosed allergies – I think we need to be a little more encompassing here – we have so many allergy students that I don’t like to just say peanuts!
Q. Is financial assistance available?
A. Yes. The Pastor will work with parishioners unable to afford the annual cost of tuition. Assistance is based on annual incomes.
Q. How many students can you have?
A. As of 2011, we have 205 students in our school. We strive to have no more than 25 students per classroom.
Q. Are families expected to fundraise?
A. We ask all families to participate in annual fundraisers, but it is not mandatory. Every dollar raised in fundraising activities reduces the overall cost of providing education to students.
Q. Can I see my students’ grades online?
A. Yes, we have a password-protected parent-portal for parents to get information on grades, lunch balances, class schedules and more. Teachers also communicate to parents through email and class websites to update them on the class’ progress.
Q. Do students attend Mass?
A. Yes, students attend all-school Mass at least once a week.   Our 3rd-5th grade students also rotate attending Mass at Guardian Angels Care Center.
Q. Does the school cover special needs?
A. St. Andrew Catholic School has a close working relationship with District 728.  Any students who are diagnosed with a specific learning disability can be serviced through the Special Education Department at Parker Elementary.  We offer support for students who receive services for speech, language, EBD, and many other diagnoses.
