The Ministry of Altar Server: 5th-9th graders are scheduled once every two or three months. The Processions are lead by our servers with a processional Cross-bearer and Gospel Book bearer. Servers may also assist the Priest by holding the Missal for the opening and closing prayers, as well as setting and clearing the altar during Eucharistic Celebrations. >click here for more info.
The Extraordinary Minister of Communion: Distribution of the Body & Blood of Christ at all Sunday Masses is now to be expected by most Catholics today. This ministry is open to those who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Ministers are scheduled in groups for the whole month, rotating every other month unless otherwise desired. Training is scheduled as desires are made known. >click here for more info.
The Ministry of Hospitality:
Greeters are made up of both women and men who offer Christian hospitality and sharing necessary information with those who request it (finding the restrooms, crying room, etc.). Individuals as well as families are welcome to take part in this ministry.  Greeters are scheduled on a weekly basis. >click here for more info.
The Ministry of Lectors: One lector is needed for the Proclamation from the Ambo, of the Holy Scriptures - The Liturgy of the Word. The general intercessions may also be read in the event our Deacon is absent. This ministry is open to those who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Lector Books are provided for home study. Lectors are scheduled on a weekly basis. >click here for more info.
The Ministry of Hospitality:
Ushers are also made up of both women and men who provide a welcoming atmosphere for all who attend the Church of St. Andrew. Ushers assist in creating an orderly celebration by helping people to find a seat, take up collections, assist in the Communion procession, and distribute weekly bulletins. Ushers are scheduled for a whole month on a rotational basis, about three times a year. >click here for more info.
Green Plant Committee & Flower Committee water and care for the green plants and flowers in Church throughout the various seasons.
The Fine Linen Ministry: Rotating once a week, all the washing, drying, and ironing of the linens used for our liturgical celebrations is to be done. Linens need to be picked up the from the sacristy on Sunday and returned by Saturday of the following weekend. Providing your own cleaning and ironing supplies is also necessary.
Wedding Facilitators: assist couples with their marriage plans and are available on the day of the wedding to help prepare the Church for their use as well as ensure that someone is there to help things run smoothly.
The Ministry of Sacristans: This often “behind the scenes” ministry prepares all the necessary elements and vessels before each of the Masses. A sacristan is responsible for preparing the bread and wine as well as setting out the ciboria and chalices before Mass. Sacristans also help in the placement of the assigned Eucharistic Ministers to specific areas of the Church and check that the Lector and Altar Servers have everything they need for Mass. >click here for more info.
Art & Environment Committee: develops the Seasonal decorations for the Church and meets with the changing of the Seasons.
